Who We Are

The New England Veterans Chamber of Commerce assists military and veteran-owned businesses throughout New England, including Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont.

In 2017, Lisa Ducharme, retired Air Force veteran, and self-avowed Air Force “brat” with years of professional administrative and volunteer experience with veteran outreach, was asked by Michael Zacchea, Executive Director of the United States Veterans Chamber of Commerce and Director,  UConn Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans (EBV), if she would be interested in starting a New England Veterans Chamber of Commerce, and with her answer, the New England Veterans Chamber of Commerce was born, in order to serve the needs of the broader New England community.

At 11:01 a.m. on November 11, 2018, the NEVCC was formally launched (having been founded in June of the same year). This was an important date and time, 11:00 a.m. on 11/11/2018 was the 100th Anniversary of the End of World War I, and the NEVCC launched, A Century of Veteran Owned Businesses in the Making! We embrace our past, cherish our present, and are ready for our future!  Through partnerships, corporate collaboration, and social networking, the NEVCC looks forward to continuing to provide broad support to veterans and their families in professional ventures.  Doing it our way!
