In 2017, Lisa Ducharme, retired Air Force veteran, and self-avowed Air Force “brat” with years of professional administrative and volunteer experience with veteran outreach, was asked by Michael Zacchea, Executive Director of the United States Veterans Chamber of Commerce and Director and the UConn Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans (EBV), if she would be interested in starting a New England Veterans Chamber of Commerce, and with her answer, the New England Veterans Chamber of Commerce was born, in order to serve the needs of the broader New England community.
At 11:01 a.m. on November 11, 2018, the NEVCC was formally launched (having been founded in June of the same year).
